3k on the current tv and I wouldn't look back. Now worthless.

More than $300 pa depreciation. Spending $300 now on an Apple TV or less on the Kodi boxes and get a few more years makes more sense to me.

I know ink cops grief for being unfunny. But this is my new nominee for POTY.

Loved it.

I can rattle off a significant number of other iseekers that fit that unfunny brief a lot better. Inky is more an acquired taste, first taste is weird, but grows on you.

I use Apple Tv for netflix. No problem works well. I use an older version that can be bought for $108 from Jb Hi Fi.

The fetchTv mighty box is free on Optus $80 NBN plan. I have done my homework. This is the way to go.

Let us know how NBN on HFC goes. i have this available from end June.

You're before me, I'm September.

A very quick read of Fetch and there's a lot of buy/rent involved v Netflix a flat $12 mth or something like that. Fetch seems a lot like the Optus equivalent of Foxtel that died. A pathological hatred for Optus and Telstra customer disservice puts me off Fetch.

I have a dislike of piracy so a bit negative on Kodi. Plus it isn't free as there's around $10/month vpn cost plus a crap interface.

Alkaline taste is how you described it...I'm having more pineapple, vanilla and cinnamon.

I think most of us will defer to your practical experience. Red hot tip you can see in photos but the taste test I'll leave to you.

You don't have to use a vpn service.  Could you be caught out for streaming a service that was pirated somewhere in its heritage? Possibly.

Yes the interface can be tedious - the links need to be regularly updated, mostly automatically.  It's not how I would design the interface, but it works, so I'm not going to try and reinvent the wheel.

But considering that you can access all the tv in the world, all the movies, Netflix, etc. it's worth the effort.  But mostly I just watch Netflix stuff, without the $7, 10 or 12 that they charge.
