Carlton should have won that game by 10 goals, but instead let them well and truly back in it. Good teams don't do that, they just keep turning the screws.

Casboult was, and is, a poor excuse for a forward, and with him as the leading light, Carlton will not amount to anything. The prick drops lace out marks on his chest, and then shanks his shots on goal 30m wide of the mark. You certainly can't teach shite like that, and how he ever got picked to play AFL is beyond me. The recruiters must have been on drugs.

So Carlton will surprise a few teams every now and then, and let a few more off the hook. They should be in the bottom six for a good while to come unless they all take a step up in terms of the execution of skills.

At times their endeavour is more than good enough to win games, (as they showed this weekend) but there execution is woeful at times, so teams feel they are always in with a chance to win (much like when teams play Richmond) .... ;)

Yeah, its been interesting the last few weeks in terms of his demeanour (Dave's).

We were quite concerned with his well being for a while, as he was taking himself of social media every now and again, but I think he is starting to get used to his teams capitulations, and his expectations of Dimma and his group are now somewhat closer to reality ....... I say somewhat, as he still has a way to go.

We have suggested therapy, or perhaps calling one of those helpline numbers ....... just on the off chance that the Tigers pull another loss out of the fire, but were still hopeful of a good outcome in the long term for Dave.

The optimist in me thinks carton have improved significantly since the round 1 loss. I'd say Richmond has flatlined since same time. Blues by 11.

Whilst Curnow did well on a struggling Ablett, keeping Dusty in check is another thing. Plus Rance has his defensive unit working very well making it nigh on impossible for us to kick a winning score.

I think there are other more winnable games on the run home.

Rance, pfft.

Now if there was ever an over-rated player he's getting close to being it.

He should have been outed anyway ................ for the over acting incident with Buddy.

He's only over rated because the dikhead commentators seem to think he's the best full back of all time. He's the best defender in the comp at the moment but it's hard to put him ahead of Scarlett as the best full back this century let alone of all time.

He's clearly the best stopping defender in the comp at the moment, so probably not. But he's over rated by the commentators for sure.

I agree, he's easily top 3 for key defenders in the league.

By that description, I feel he cannot be considered over rated.

I only ask because sometimes I wonder what game Gaz is actually watching when reading his posts :)

I dunno, the media (Bruce especially) love to call him the best full back of all time. That's definitely over rating him I rekon.

it's easy to miss the subtleties of the game when you're not watching it on an OLED TV
