Caddied today at Heritage. Our boys got towled up.

Henley was a goat track and I believe it's the better of the two goat tracks at the moment, St John's lost 6 greens over Christmas apparently. 3 greens on Henley are mostly sand. Surprised the ground staff found a green spot for the hole on one of them.

Your assessment is not quite accurate. We as a group were told of poor conditions on The Henly course and to our surprise we found the overall condition well passable. Two or three greens were questionable , very bouncy and difficult to judge. In the current circumstances of The Heritage we would have to say well done to the host club because we went there not knowing and left pleasantly surprised !!

You're obviously used to playing on goat tracks.

If by questionable you mean covered in sand then yeah, 3 greens were questionable.

Fairways needed some water, the grass coverage was very thin.

Must have gone downhill quick, I played there 2 weeks ago and thought the fairways were good

Fairways weren't too bad, just very thin on grass. The greens were bad.

Frazer Droop (trainee pro) played No. 1 for Commonwealth yesterday in Div 1.

Appears that "Gentlemen's agreement" has been broken...

Our colts team got up 3/2 - hope the members get behind them this year as we don't have a senior team anymore.

I don't know that I would be calling Keysborough a goat track.

I didn't play Henly but I did walk it yesterday and believe me I need a drink more than the course did. Very hot n dry.

Keysie is miles better condition wise than Henley which is why I can't quite grasp how you and Voss were happy with it yesterday, I thought it was somewhere between poor & horrible. Lunch was excellent though.

Peninsula Kingswood got up 5/2 against Sanctuary Lakes yesterday at Metro. The course was generally in great nick although a couple of spots of the fairways were a little on bare side. The greens were amazing, quick but very playable thankfully and some of the pins were seriously tricky to get to.

From what I heard yesterday Commonwealth are saying that Frazer Droop isn't a pro, he's a Trainee hence they haven't broken the agreement, that's bull if you ask me but anyway. We play them this week at La Trobe so hopefully our No1 can get up against him. Commonwealth really laid down a marker beating another of the favorites in Royal 5/2
