Would you look to do nationals or do we do a March event in 2019?

Commish. 2 on king island and the Barny and Lost Farm so no Vic event!

I'll go anywhere.  Was just feeling sorry for the Vics missing out on their place in the Nats rotational wheel.  I mean, who wants to travel south 2yrs in a row... well apart from the Qlders and a token Canank    :(

Fair point Im not sure of weather down that way.

So would we keep Nationals on normal rotation in later October and look to do an additional mid year event *Middies" each Feb/Mar?  Start with Tassie in 2018 or 2019? Then look at other locations in Aus or international.

Twice in one year would be a big cost to wear wouldn't it? I mean NSW is costing how much for the handful of days?

Plus others would have a lot of brownie points to cash in to go on 2 trips.

Maybe do a non east coast state every odd or even year? IE 2018 is Qld so 2019 is Tassie, 2020 is Vic, 2021 might be Perth, 2022 NSW and so on.

thanks good points.

A big part of Nationals is having locals be able to support even if only one day- the interstaters and core group usually same each year regardless of location.

A Tassie or other event away from the three hubs in October every second year may not have many participants compared to the 40 or 50 we have for regular rotation. We do though need new locations in coming years outside of metro locations.

Its up to the group on what they want to do- it may only be smaller groups for a middies if we go that approach but can add NZ, Tassie, Vietnam etc into the mix if that is what people want.

Dependent on where you travel to get there maybe $2k all up at most? that is 6 days and rounds.

Tassie would be similar but 4-5days and rounds and all will have to fly!
