Well that was an effort. 18.7km walking, 80 and 79 off the stick, 29 darts. Thanks for all the advice, shower after the first round got me through.

A shower?
You wimp!

Try the army where you walk further, carrying all your own gear including food, weapons, ammo, day after day. Then you might get a shower after a couple of weeks.

It was a long, long time ago.

But I have played lots of 36 hole events since then.

And go on, tell us that you were a big tough boy and didn't have a shower after walking the first 18.

Big, yes, that's why I took up golf.
Tough, no need for toughness, just a bit of durability.
Halfway shower, no; food & drink, yes.

In that case I am very proud of you for walking two lots of 18 without a shower

Given that the shower seems to be the most controversial issue of the day (and not the packet plus of cigarettes) I'm going to throw in a well done to Jolls and an "up yours" to everyone who thinks it was unwarranted. 80 and 79 off the stick. Nice shooting sir.

I would not have had a shower after 18 and getting ready for the next 18 normally but if it was stinky hot and humid then a quick shower and change of shirt might help. I would make sure I had enough snacks and fluid to keep going but now Jolls has shown what works for him.
