Ive tried a few of the gels, havent one that works yet for me.

As its only recent we are going with Panadol for a bit, then the NSAIDs are on the table

Anything needs to used for a few weeks to trial.

Have you tried Magnesium tabs??   Like most things, you would need probably a month to get these into the system, I'm into week 3 and things seem to be a bit better.

The problem is that as Arthritus tends to flare up & die down it is hard to be sure that the tablets are actually doing anything. There is no actual medical evidence that Glucosemine does anything to the joints &as posted earlier concentrated fish oil will help in some cases but only if taken in large doses. Ok if you do not mind smelling like a fisherman.:-) .Fortunatly I only have the arthritus in my ring finger which does not bother me much. The Knees and lower back however are a different story. Meloxicam once a day & a pain killer called Tramadol morning & evening. And I do not try to walk the course. That is a recipe for much pain.

BTW Copper bracelets do not work either.

Yeah copper bracelets are goof for leaving oxidisation marks around your wrist and that's about it.  Have used the Tramdol, but is sends me loopy.  Have not tried the Meloxicam.  Might check it out with the GP.  Ta Pom.

Meloxicam aka Mobic really does work for me, but I try to drop a day or half dose if Im feeling good.
Tramadol (zydol) is for the bad times...thats heavy stuff Pom. Opiod power, really gets you to another place if you mix with alcohol...did it once without thinking.

As long as we keep it going! :)

Mobic actually does wonders for my shoulder, but wasnt sure how they go with arthritis.
Doc didnt mention it at all.

Maxxon has got me onto a sulphur powder that has incredible reviewz.
It turned up today, so will start taking it tomorrow

I had heard that some people react badly to tramadol. Does not seem to bother me that much. Could not manage without it at the moment.Like you I try to take it easy on the Meloxicam.1 tablet every 2 days seems to work most of the time.

Didn't realise Meloxicam was Mobic.  Been down that track as well.  Good if you don't need it all the time, but has a some serious side effects on internals if long term use.

Mobic has been linked to heart disease if using for extended periods. It's fairly substantial and I'm pretty sure its an Authorized Script.

Whatever you do, you do to yourself
