Looking at going for a weekend.
Attempting to try and avoid paying $100 rounds and a cart on top of poss. And obviously weekend rates.

Other than STaB and The Dunes where shall we play.

Any tips? It will be summer.

Flinders is a pretty good little track and wouldn't break the budget. Cape Schanck & Moonah Links would be alright as well, I'd probably pick Moonah if I had to choose one.

If you can get on at the National then that would be the pick of the lot.

When are you planning this ? We do one every year and can usually pay under $500 for golf accommodation food and booze for 3 people. 4/5 rounds of golf on good tracks.

Portsea and Sorrento are both good tracks as well.  The advantage of the Peninsula is that all of the courses are close, so if you get accommodation in Rosebud or similar, then it is very convenient.

If you want a day to improve the budget stakes, the word is that Rosebud Park is in very good nick at the moment - it is a public course and nowhere near the league of the others but has the most spectacular views from any golf course on the Peninsula.  A better day out than some of the other cheaper options on the Peninsula (eg Mornington, Devil Bend, Mt Martha, Safety Beach).

For that price what courses do you play?

We would be going March.

I suspect Rosebud Country Golf Club chould be one? Possibly cheaper than some of the others mentioned down there, if cost is going to be your main selection criteria.

Thanks I'll take a look. It isn't all about cost. We want ice tracks too. Just don't want to pay for 4x rounds at $100 plus cart.

NICE tracks....I take it. Portsea and Sorrento are nice and not long....just tough if it gets windy. Not sure what price you could get on there for though?

Currently we have 2x vouchers for Moonah links($99 each so $50PP for a round in a cart- play both courses over 2 days.
Crazy golf deals has rosebud country club for $80 for 2 players and a froth.
Usually you'll get a portsea voucher for $40 per player if you keep your eyes out and use the golf course guide for the dunes or St. Andrews beach and you'll pay $60 or $70 each.

We get an Airbnb on moonah links ground that's like $60 a night each, have pool access and can walk to the hot springs.

Just keep your eye out for deals on websites and it's like half the price you will usually pay.

Played there the other week, and it is in good nick. Good luck reading the greens though.

Look for one of those Groupon deals for RCC - they have a bunch of them for two people with carts/drinks type things.  It is not a destination course, but it is in really good condition at the moment and in March should be a peach as we will have just had club champs and our Pro-Am.  Both 18s are nice little tracks if you are not hung up on playing links golf.
