There is.  But will the difference affect your game at all?

Doesn't Mouldy use a soft ball in summer and a harder one in winter? 

I think the idea is to use a softer ball in cold weather so it's easier to compress?

That's precisely what i am referring to!

With that said, optimised ball or not, we srill have to get it in the hole.

Yeah but if Mouldy uses a harder one in winter, he is doing it backwards isn't he? He should be using the softer ball in winter.
