Hello everybody, as stated in my profile I'm going to chop (bad use of adjective) 1/3 of my handicap in the next 12 months. And happy to accept bricks and bouquets as I post my thoughts and progress.

 

Monday 21st Nov

 

Managed to play 1,2,3,4 then 13,14,15,16,17,18 at Sandringham before I went to get an adjustment of new (sorry GPJ) fat 4iron.

 

The 5 holes on the back nine are very different.

 

Hit fat 2iron and fat 4iron on both 17 and 18 and ended up with 80 left on 17 and 10m way over the right on 18. And wanted to get warmed up before my adjustment.

 

Adjustment time.

 

Trackman shows my club path at wicked -6.5 but that is one my challenges as they  have a bad right hip. As a result the trackman session show Fat4i and 5i were the same carry.So we took 2 degrees loft off and 1/4 inch off in length as its sole is a lot more curved than my fat 2i

Daily exercises I have been doing is tying a green therapeutic band (got it from mum's physio) to a door handle and doing 20 turns away from the door for both sides.

Okay the 'thero' band is about 1 metre in length is doubled over and one end is tied to the door handle and the other end is held with both hands and you turn away from the door. And then face the other way and turn away .

Dosen't help putting but may be of benefit to increase a little upper body flexibility.

The easiest way is to be off 2.5 and get to 2.4.
