Ditto.. played one for 9 holes today and put it back in the bag.  No better or worse than a lot of other balls out there.

Out of interest how was your prototype marked....

Apart from the larger than normal font for the ball name, bold block about 24 font, FORTE the marking was simply   <  proto type 1  >  as would be the case with 90% of other balls.

Font appears to be different on my version of trial ball mate

Ball in the middle was used for 16 holes....

One was actually hitting the ball well.... every fairway hit with driver and no contact with trees

I think mine was closer to # 3

I am pretty sure the latest version of the prototype has the red number.

what's the smaller writing on the #3?

the middle one's cover still looks to have held up as far as cuts and scratches though hasn't it?

definitely appears dulled, but still seems playable, is that right?

16 holes and every fairway, that's good stuff mate. Do you think the ball helped in keeping 'em straight?

I suspect that the latest ball I've been sent is different to the one you used, will be interesting to see how it goes

I've attached another pic of trail ball left and original right...
Original ball has a bold slightly larger font than trail ball...

Ummm it was a good round... did the ball make a difference to fairways hit.... I would say no... the 2 times it wasn't used other ball split the fairway and rnded up with pars on both occasions... just one of those days..

Ball is still useable yes but farking hard to see in air and on the ground

I’d say it’s your dinosaur eyes that are the issue.

But with or without my specs the one with the red number is most definitely bold font..
