I wasn't disputing his goat ownership status...Lord knows, Sir Schmucknuckle is likely to own an entire herd, if I had to guess.

 

But prepared to swap one for a parrot?

I was out driving last weekend and went past a huge flock of goats. There were hundreds of them.

A parrot would certainly fit on your shoulder more easily than a goat, I would only go with the goat if you can't source a parrot.
Does the parrot have to be alive? If not it would be easier to keep it on your shoulder (nails, staples etc)
