Old school says grip the putter down the lifelines.  More recent opinions suggest better control by gripping with the fingers.

For me on the carpet it does seem to quieten the wrists.

Thoughts and opinions.

I have the grip in the fingers but I'm a right brainer touchy feely type. No lines on the ball or the putter for me either.

I'm not sure they're ready or remotely equipped to take that call.

Been there and done that with more variety than most.  Doesn't help distance control.  Where have you been this weekend pisspot ?  No golf infers either a rare lucky weekend or a bourbon+coke Bathurst bogan event.

Standard grips, fat grips and Garsen grips don't change the fact that I'm a crap putter.

I have tried innumerable putter styles including left-handed.

So I have to change either the grip of my hands and or my setup at the ball.

Or a lobotomy which is no doubt the one favoured on ISG.

Ahhhhh....the garsen grip...forgot all about that one. It's probably about 12 months, 97 miracle solutions, and around 4500 putts ago*

*putts estimated at 2 rounds per week, 45 putts per round. This statistic is entirely fabricated...and thus has earned its place in a Mouldy-generated thread. The judge's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

I have a number of putters with Superstroke grips on.  Doesn't help.

EDIT last putter used before reverting to Lajosi was a Rife 2 bar with a Superstroke grip.

Who's winning ?

Barra

Lifeline .. rotational speed from a closing club face is seldom needed when putting .....
