On a side note, why on earth is "Gary without the R" on the swear filter?

There are many things that are illegal that don't have any effect on anyone else.

Such as? You'll find that 99% of laws are created because the action that has been outlawed had an adverse effect on someone somehow. Legalising g ay marriage has zero adverse effects on anyone except those homophobes that think G ay is contagious

Abusing animals. Obviously poor form, but how does that effect another person?

Driving a car down the freeway at 140kph. In particularly away from major cities it is ridiculous to have it limited to what it is.

Nice effort though to resort to name calling and character assassination for those who have an opinion different to yours. Proves my point in post #2.

As a Catholic, Marriage is taught as a Sacrament of The Church, as is Baptism, Reconciliation (Confession), Eucharist (Communion) and Confirmation.  This is a belief and centuries old set of holy sign posts along the journey to becoming a good Catholic (Roman Catholic/Christian).

So The Catholic Church opposes the word "marriage" being used on religious grounds. This didn't stop the Irish government voting yes to G ay Marriage.

Personally, I think it should be put to a vote in the House, and decided on there, as has been done in most countries.

Personally I don't care either way, and find it about as relevant as The Census online debacle.

I am yet to meet a G ay person that wants to get married, have kids and raise a family. It's mainly about the G ay couples being able to have a big day and invite people to their wedding. But meh, it shouldn't be illegal or not allowed under our current legislation.

I vote yay.

All I can say is good riddance to the Abbott DeLorean time machine that was stuck on 1955.

At least Turnbull is progressive.

Let's not embarrass ourselves anymore and move forward.

And while we are at it pish off the monarchy also.

Cheers.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Dead set, this is possibly the weakest argument ever put forward on ISG. Even tol could come up with something stronger.

You asked for an example and I provided two. I'm not sure what else you wanted?
