Just curious about all you other golf nuts out there. I have kept a card from every course that I have played & am now up to 212. I also have a top 50 rating out of my list. I'm sure that there are plenty of people that have played more, but just wondering if anyone else is keeping count & if so how many have you played?

Doing well there. Are they all from Australia or overseas as well?

I have 137, with 84 of these being from the current Top 100.

Wow, 84 of top 100 is a great effort. 14 of mine are overseas, only 32 are from top 100, using ausgolf rankings. Thanks for your response! Keep at it!

That's a good tally in 5 years. Best 5 courses?

Victoria
Metropolitan
Barwon heads
Moonah legends
Portarlington/keysborough

Would be my favorites but there's better ones than the bottom 3 according to the experts.
I was not to fond of huntingdale/spring valley or woodlands but would happily play my golf there given the chance.

In five years I have played 42

22 in Thailand

8 in Australia

7 in Cambodia

4 in Nepal

1 in Brunei

Most Memorable - Himalayan Golf Course Pokara Nepal

Most Difficult - Angkor Golf Resort Siem Reap Cambodia (Designed by Nick Faldo, it was just beyond me with bunkers and water absolutely everywhere.)

Most Beautiful - Black Mountain Hua Hin Thailand

Best Value For Money - Muang Ake Wang Noi - Ayutthaya Thailand (about $40 including cart rental clubs and caddy)

Worst Value For Money - Empire Brunei. ($220.00 included cart and clubs but no caddy)

Thanks. Using Golf Digest for list and hoping to finish by 2018 (before next list released)

Have managed only 6 games overseas, but hoping to do a lot more in the future, especially around the UK.

Yeah thats up there but seemed different last time I played it. looked like they shrunk some of the greens. And a 12 on the index 1 upset me.

That's interesting. I note your comment about Angkor Golf Resort Cambodia. I have that listed as 5th best course I have ever played. I was the only one on the course on the day I played it.I agree it was very hard, but fantastic!

It was too hard for me, I've only been playing five years in total and I played that a couple of years ago Maybe three years ago so  I wasn't overly experienced.

I pretty much had the course to myself also

Not bad. I don't pay any attention to the experts either. I just rate them how I see them on the day. The following is my list of best 9, so that I can include my best 5 aussie courses...

Kingston Heath

Barnbougle Dunes

Natadola Bay - Fiji

Victoria

Angkor Golf Resort - Cambodia

Le Toussrok - Mauritius

Jack's Point - New Zealand

Barnbougle Lost Farm

Royal Adelaide

Cheers!
