Hi, I have been using a set of Spalding golf clubs since I started golf a few months ago. Can anyone tell if they are any good and give me some idea on the improvements a new set would offer.

Were a name in the sport at one stage. I think more modern woods particularly are a good investmentf or the beginner as the older style wood woods are much harder to hit.

I found the right handed clubs better than the left handed models, but that is just me. Spalding were the first sporting equipment company to make matched sets of golf clubs. So they have a very long history in golf equipment.

Could explain why he thinks a new set would help - make them all the same hand!

Oh dear, the Tour Edition brand isn't what it once was

Decades ago, Spalding Tour Edition were top shelf forged blades that the likes of Greg Norman used to great success.

But like Wilson Staff and Macgregor Tourney, it all went pear shaped.  Alas your version are a bit cheap and nasty. Onward and upward I think - give that Credit Card a hammering
