So, I came into some unexpected money earmarked for golf expenditure so have invested in a game golf classic system.  Now can't wait till it arrives and I can set it up and have a play.

Who is using this so that I can follow your adventures?

Mainly because I lost my swing and I put it away to try and concentrate on my swing without the distraction of it.

I was either focused on the swing and would forget about it for a hole and then would focus too much on it that I would forget about swinging or aligning myself correctly.

My swing was suffering before I bought it and thought it would help as to why. Ended up being worse and put it away as a result. Loved it but found it too distracting especially when I was trying to work out what was wrong with the swing.

Now its just because I haven't played and leading up to the Op I didn't bother. Once I am back swinging again I think I will put it back into play once the swing has settled back in. Its mainly why I haven't sold it because I know that now with the swing somewhat settled I can work on where I am leaking strokes on the course and finally break 80.

I am looking forward to it.  I am obsessive about tracking a whole range of stats every round anyway, so I am hoping that it won't distract too much.  But I am really interested in seeing some of the more in depth numbers like the strokes gained and so on.

Only thing I can suggest is heading to the range and ingrain it into your pre or post shot routine.

I found it easier to do after just before putting back in bag to try and not get distracted by it, others preferred before.

Range schmange.  I am hoping it is ingrained purely by watching copious Mark Crossfield videos on youtube.

If you get the time watch his head to head with Andy Sullivan (Euro Tour Pro) at Andy home course. Quite funny.

Dan,

I find game golf is good. great for keeping track of distances and more importantly where your misses are. I found out for example my 4 hybrid always missed right. Other clubs both left and right. so now now to aim left edge with that club. The tagging just becomes part of routine. Also can enter put locations after the round if dont tag them. Its the putts i often forget to tag but easy to add after round.

Looking forward to trying it. Like you said, seems like lots more information available than standard tracking
