A mate is looking at the ARCOSS system which tracks your shots and club selection and so on. It is like Game Golf but you don't have to remember to tag the club before your shot.

Is anyone using this system and the moment or know anyone who does? Interested in how people are finding it because I'm quite interested in it as well.

If it's one of those systems where you put a thingy into the butt of the club, you could (should) be disqualified from comp for using unusual equipment.

Fine for practice.

I dont see how it is different to GameGolf or GolfPad tags, you still have to tap the tags to your NFC capable phone don't you? It just uses a phone instead of the belt clip?

I thought it knew when it was being swung so it figured the club out for you?

Im fairly sure they are fine for comp rounds so long as you do not have the club recommendations turned on.

I looked very seriously at it about 4 months ago.

It requires no tagging, just bluetooth pared to your iphone.

It works out what is a practice swing and doesnt count them. There is a big algorithmic formula they use. I was emailing them back and forth for a couple of weeks.

I think its better than GameGolf just for ease of use. The internet reviews agree.

The only eeason i didnt get it is because it relies on Google Maps, and my course isnt on there yet

You can record what you've done provided nothing tells you what club to use.
Pointless, because everyone knows how far they hit each club and you're allowed to know the distance.

It's quite legit, Rob. And I keep my equipment tucked out of sight.
