great start with the thread Oz. The flu means you can't exercise it doesn't mean you can't diet. No reason to put things off.
with the trial I took part in we had to detail everything we ate and drank each day.
half a kilo per week is an achievable target. Once you hit it each week you can get more committed.
if you want to apply some pressure on your good self why not post on here your daily intake, good and bad.
one of the biggest factors is portion sizes. more rabbit food and less carbs. watch BREAD, PASTA and POTATOES.
a chicken sniztel roll for lunch doesn't work. try a salad sandwich instead with an apple and lots of water. Buy one of the apple packs at the supermarket and keep it on the spare seat in the truck. When you feel a bit hungry grab an apple.
life was easier for me working in an office. lunch was a can of tuna in springwater, tomatoes, low fat fetta and olives - luckily things I like. You might be able to put together some things you like in a lunchbox.
