I was going to talk to the committee about giving it a rest next year, and maybe going somewhere else in the North...maybe Heidelberg, which is in sensational nick, or somewhere like Mandalay.

Eynesbury?

Good enemas up there.

It's because people are scared of the West mate... You put Eynesbury's layout at Growling Frog, with the same dedication and greenskeeping staff to get the conditioning comparable and I think people would be queuing up to play it. Notwithstanding the sheer stupidity of trying to have a 460m Par 4, I reckon most holes are exciting and have more than one redeeming feature.

It's its location and somewhat inconsistent conditioning for the cost that seems to get to most people on here I think.

Can we play somewhere other than the Frog for the north component next year?

Ideally somewhere about 3 mins north of the CBD, and not out in the sticks?

I'll concede, Le Frog certainly presented well ... but its just a bastard of a place to get to and particularly from ..... ;)

Don't entirely agree smergs, my impressions of frog are that its a very playable course, wide sweeping fairways and a generous first cut of rough , bunkers that don't have a lip like the Great Wall of china all provides to give the player every chance.
I might be Robinson Crusoe but I generally take these factors into acct when considering a game.
By comparison eynesbury is more on the difficult side , less forgiving for a wide variety of playing ability. Certainly not the worst course I've ever played but not in my top 5 either

Eynesbury has the stupidest practice green set up in the known universe (among other things wrong with it)

I'd agree that Eynesbury is probably that little bit harder than the Frog, and I strongly doubt Eynesbury would be presenting as well as Le Frogge at the moment.

Eynesbury has the stupidest practice green set up in the known universe (among other things wrong with it)

And I certainly would agree with that. How a course that asks that much coin couldn't put in even a half decent practice green is beyond me.

A late thankyou to the boys for sunday morning.

DJ great to finally see you hit it, keep working on that swing mate ! Steve make the time and have a lesson and fix your driver swing, I can see that you love the game so it should be easy to address with a little practise.
Marcus I'm glad you came good on the back nine, just needed the front to warm up.
Sorry that I had to shoot thru after nine but I couldn't avoid the doubles match at 1pm ( lost on the 20th btw )
Was really warming up to the course with 20 points going out, could've been anything :)
