Absolutely agree.
In the absence of being able to play RQ just yet, this is without doubt my favourite course.

You can still feel that it used to be a resort course suited to the LPGA, but that was mostly a length thing.

I loved some of the bunkering locations. There are bunkers in real risk/reward locations rather than just dumb spots in genuine landing zones. The first one the green is a perfect example. It's a 235m carry from the whites and it's only a 4m wide bunker, but to carry it is a perfect position.
There were some other green side and green vicinity bunkers that were in great positions.

I would love to go back and play it under tournament conditions.

there wouldn't be many normal golfers who could possibly hit a drive to carry that far. It doesn't seem like it's in the way at all

I've seen a bloke land it dead center from the blues. So it most definitely is in play.

Well, I played 3 rounds on the championship course in tournament mode and it was a huge test.  Gives you some idea of just how good the pros are with their short game because this course is punishing around the greens in particular.  Mostly elevated greens with big ridges, deep bunkers and confusing swayles all through it.  Every shot is a true test of golf and when the wind blows, it's dead set brutal.  Thoroughly enjoyed the challenge despite my indifferent play.  Already looking forward to my next visit.

Doesn't count if the bloke is a wanker though

Very true. It most definitely isn't in play.
