You all play under the one flag, why did they say wanker Murray was the first Brit to win Wimbledon ??? So a Scottish person is half Scot half Irish???
DEBUT: US Masters, Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta, GA 2016

Andy Murray is British but not English. He supported Scottish separation. I thought Pom was short for prisoner of mother England?
Personally I support English sportsmen ect much more than British, because let's face it, the other parts of Britain never support the English! Something to do with us winning all the important battles I think.
Unfortunate that includes Rory 😟. Although let's face it the Northern Irish are much more amiable than the Scottish 😀
Although living in Australia for 25 years who gives a toss anymore😀

I don't think there are that many actual English sportsmen these days are there?

A quick look through English soccer and you'd be hard pressed to find many in the Premier league.

Tennis is just your Scottish guy Murray, and in cricket it's South African's, and Indians, or guys of other various persuasions wearing the English lions jumper ......

I could be wrong of course, but its all starting to remind me of a rather dark skinned French National rugby side of a couple of years ago.

Was in London at Christmas and it's been 20yrs since I worked there...

Notes, edgeware road used to be mostly white English and black Caribbean, now it's all Lebanese smoking cafes.
Was in a Kensington pub, one other Englishmen, barpersons were Swede,Italian and Spanish .

English thought so much of Tim Henman that they renamed his Wimbledon hill Murray Hill. :D

Listened to two blokes sledging Kevin Petersen at the ashes last year (gabba).
Was hilarious.
My two mates from Windsor and slough weren't best pleased , I had a ball :D(great sitting on terraces drinking, not allowed in Glasgow cos there would be a Barney ,:D
