A little over 12 months ago, I would have said I was a huge fan of this young fella, proud as punch to see a young Aussie flying through the ranks, taking scalps.

What a difference a year makes.

As I write, Kyrgios has just broken Andy Murray's serve in the third set to keep the match alive. Down 2 sets to 1. I've never cheered against an Aussie in my life. There are several Aussie athletes I personally can't stand, but I would never let that show when they were wearing the green and gold. This little punk though, needs a good clip behind the ear, I can't and I won't support him. The tantrums don't bother me too much but the sledging of wawrinka (?) and the way that was handled and the delusional defence he receives from his family (congrats on raising a tumbling, tumbling dickweed by the way) is embarrassing to say the least. YES, Dawn Frazer's remarks were incredibly racist and out of touch, but that is not the opinion of most Aussies, and does not justify current behaviour.

So, for the first time in my life.... GO ON MURRAY MY SON!!! SCALP THE MOHAWK!!

I would have to agree, GP.  He has become too big for his breeches.

Like many before him, he lacks the maturity and wisdom to handle fame and fortune, similar to many AFL stars, entertainers, etc.  'Worship' by the masses has to be earned in a variety of ways, not just because he is good at one thing.

If Adolf Hitler was out there 'slaying them', would we all be keen to claim him as one of us?

There was a thread topic a while back about how many posts a thread gets, on average, before someone mentions Hitler.

Well, you've got the name, can you quote the law?

does it count if you just randomly mention Hitler in the very first reply?

I am not sure if Godwin's Law applies when you just throw out the name Hitler like that, but hey, at least it's spelled correctly so let's run with it and keep it closely associated to Nick the Greek

I've heard much worse sledges reported from cricket - Kyrgios is an arrogant immature twit but I suspect I would be in his position.

He's an Aussie and I still go for Aussies over poms.

Time and place I think mate. Unfortunately in this case, I can't support him. I'd hope that his family might be able to help but they carry on just as badly as he does, and constantly justify his actions. His brother's behaviour on radio was appalling, there's no room for the vile, sexist remarks he made in modern society. The entitled attitude seems to be shared amongst the family. Really sad to think there are kids Australia and world wide who see this behaviour from 'professionals' and believe it to be part of sport.
Professionalism goes beyond ability to conduct as well. Maybe the lad should consider a career in Rugby League or Boxing?

I think League and Boxing would be too intellectual for him.  Mundine is a genius in comparison.

Total capitulation, didn't look like your boy broke a sweat. 3rd set a bit of an anomaly. 5 days in the bahamas with Lleyton didn't do all that much for Kyrgios obviously.
I am having trouble getting this out: If Kyrgios plays Davis Cup, I...may...have...to...back...the.....poms.
I've passed less painful gall stones than that last statement but I truly cannot stand this kid. Apologies to my grandfathers who are currently rolling in their graves.
