Ive got a set of Wilsonstaff FG Tours irons with Project X shafts in reg flex - $150 and they are yours.

Can take some pics tonight - let me know.

If Joe doesn't buy them and you want to get rid of them, Ayden might take them off your hands.

To a certain degree - its cheap enough as a play around set so...

I had a set 2 years ago, they are forgiving enough for a club of that profile.

I think they are my favourite looking irons - if they are the ones with the gold seal on the back - just so tidy and great glowing lines with no bulbous parts

Tiny heads though!

I think the ones with the gold are the v2 version.

Combo set of them and the tour100s would be delicious.

Forgiving isn't a worry, should be ok as a play around set (or even knock the x forged out haha). But as Ghetto said for 150 its not a bad play around.

Plus the X forged 13's arent that forgiving either but maybe a bit more than these. Im actually intrigued by these.

So after some thinking last night I am going to give the Wilsons a run and see how they handle and feel. Shaft is intriguing me as it isn't one I have used for about 5 years and shot one of my best (and worst) rounds around 'Bat.

From what I can gather they are around 1* weaker than the X Forged so be interesting to see if any distance loss or not.

If Joe doesn't buy them and you want to get rid of them, Ayden might take them off your hands.

If I don't end up liking them I will let you know and see if Ayden wants them!

Thanks for the Irons. Really enjoyed them! Shaft is as I remembered and is what I have been chasing for a while now! Loved them. Heads I am 50 50 on. I now see what Weeti meant by forgiving!!

Stableford @ Berg and was all about the Irons. Ended up with 30pts and a lot of that due to putting on sanded greens.... killed me in the end as the speeds were somewhat consistent until the 6th hole.

17+13. 3 wipes and all from the middle of the fairway. Putting killed me as well. Burnt the hole around 5 times as well.

Overall happy with the game, Irons played really well when I did hit them correctly (I reckon around 80% of the time) but really found the dud feel that people talk about when missing off centre.

I struggled to get a 9i from the Blues to the middle of the green on the 6th. Yet put an 8I over the back of a green that had no business being anywhere but middle front on the 7th. So chalk and cheese in terms of hitting and missing the middle.

Overall I did enjoy them and will be giving them a few more runs to get used to the heads. The shafts I loved as said, so much so I may now be on the hunt for another set with 5.5's in them or maybe just the shafts on their own and look to re-shafting my X forged's.

May or may not be playing this weekend, so will see how I go.

Stab @ 'Berg again. Very Dewey morning and inconsistent greens from coring last week lead to a 35pts. I just couldn't putt consistently and read the greens. Speed and breaks (along with bumps) just got me in the end.

A number of holes I got myself into good position to screw myself but leave a chance for Cap Par and killed by putting.

Off 19 for the day.

35 Pts with 16 on the front w 1 wipe, 1 (chip in) birdie and 1 par + 19 on the back w 4 pars 3 bogeys 1 DB and 1 wipe.

Started ok and played ok on the front 9. First few holes were ugly when shanking on the tee and wiping the 2nd. Managed to pull it together and have a chip in 3 on 5. Stuck behind the big gum but should be able to put a PW just short of the bunker. Pull 54* and chipped\rolled in. Happy Days!!! Been a long time since I had a chip in!

Pro pin on the 6th, hit a minted 9i to Back Right pin to 2m. Unfortunately (and didn't think it would) hold for it (130cm beat it :()

Turned and then wiped the 10th, then just played crap on 11 and the switch flipped and away I went. Par 12, bogey 13, par 14, bogey 15, par 16 and 17 (after being on the absolute edge of the green and massive bunker on right of 17 green) and bogey 18.

Absolutely loving the shafts and irons. Really do know when you miss the middle with the head as they aren't as forgiving but I am finding this on the odd shot so happy with the choice.

I think the psychological aspect of having the 5.5's is making me not swing as hard and have a lot more controlled shot\swing. Thus in turn actually making me hit better and swing easier to play better.

I may have one more round with them and then have 1 or 2 rounds with the X-Forged 13's w PXi 6.0's. If I don't play them as well (or go swinging again because it is a 6.0) as the 5.5's then I might look into (or happy to be tempted) another 5.5 set w forged heads and go from there. I have seen one or two floating around but being an older shaft it is hard to find.
