Made a few changes today changed my grip when driving from interlocked fingers to a baseball style with varieing results also have started to have a countdown from 5 when I'm standing over my putts i found this to be very effective will continue you with this moving forwards chipped really well 5 up and down pars over my afternoon 9 holes pity I couldn't get on a green in regulation so it was a good afternoon 42 off the stick would have been a handy 23 points

Try what I wrote but on a steady tempo. Great for tempo and distance control

1st Saturday comp round today, drove like a demon today best driving round for me ever only one bad drive on the 17th hit a tree went only 50m or so, ended up with 36 pts 19 and 17 putting really let me down started with a 4 putt on a par 5 after being on in reg followed that with a 3 putt on a par 3 but putted OK for a total of 37 putts, no washes for 97 off the stick for a nett 72, only had to punch out from under a tree once and only hit two trees all day very happy with that all in all a good start to Saturday golf can probably find about 10 extra shots between a few fats trees and poor putting

Sat comp this week was a 2 man abrose partnered up with a old cricket mate who is off 9, was humbling seeing the difference in our game. Started with a birdie and finished the same only problem was the 16 in-between. Playing Ambrose let me play a lot of different shots as we used almost all my mates drives as he was generally 40 to 50 down the track compared to mine, putting was much better then it has been highlights for the round was a couple of nice 3 woods onto the greens on the 1 and 13 and a par on 15 a par 5 where we used only my shots, think we ended up 5 or 6 over for the day and 68 and a qrt nett not enough to win but still an enjoyable day

Nice.
Advice that was given to me not so long ago here. When you play with a better Player look at their game and see where it differs from yours. Often a lot of it is the short game.

Was definitely long game that was the big difference and my partner played with a draw as opposed to my fade/slice It was nice watching your team mate bomb drives well over 250 up to 280 getting onto par 5s in 2 shots instead of a 3 if I'm lucky

Really frustrating round today 21 points the front 9 and only 11 points the back, felt like I played ordinary the whole round, on the plus side I won a sleeve off balls one for an approach one nearest the pin and one in the rundown chipped well but drove fairly poor, played another 12 holes after the comp until the rain gave me the s@#$s didn't lose any balls today so that must be a positive
