Man of the match??? ............

Not sure about that, given the amount of runs he went for .... 286.

It seems "drop in pitches" though are still a tad suspect at lasting the full 5 days.

Haha. Just the way Aussies seem to crap all over the cricket team right now. because Lyon doesn't spin it like warnie, no one gives him respect. Anyway well deserved man of the match imo. Spun the team to victory when the pace bowlers looked terrible.

You're having a lend surely Gaz
12 wickets in a match is huge, regardless of how many runs he went for.
He was the difference today, no doubt

As for the pitch there was a big ton and a 99 scored on day 5.
Other than Lyon getting good grip and bounce out of footmarks i didn't see any hooligans in the wicket.
Don't remember seeing much variable bounce for the seamers and quicks.

You been drinking all arvo mate?

Your gonna go for a lot of runs if you bowl a sit load of overs at proficient spin playing batsmen who's intent is to win a game.

Ps where is maxxon in all this? ??

What?

This was a pitch where nearly 1600 runs were scored. There were 2x double-centurions. Australia declared twice.

But 12 wickets was not good? Gees. You are a tough marker GPJ.

And I'm not a fan of drop in pitches. But when a game goes into the last hour of 5 days with any of 3 results still possible, why is it they are suspect at lasting 5 days? In a 5 day game you ideally want a result in 5 days. Not team A 500, Team B 400, Team A 300, Team B 300-3 drawn.

That was an excellent test, with excellent batting and excellent spin bowling by Nathan Lyon. How did the other spinners in the match do?

The drop in wicket had more life than the traditional Adelaide pitch which was low and slow

While this was a good batting wicket ...if you bowled well you got wickets .....maybe it lacked some grass

It produced a tremendous test match

India should have won the game at team...their implosion is partly mental .....away from home they are the weakest team in history

However this Pitch was pretty close to what they play on at home

One thing we do know .....their tail is like prawn tail ......it peels and is crushed easily

Four out ....all out and that's a worry

Especially deserved man of the match when you consider he took as many wickets as India did. Loved that he continued to flight the ball after getting hit.

Maybe GPJ thinks Rogers would be a better choice, he's old school.

He was man of the match for sure

He won us the game in that last session

Geez no brainer ...12 wickets

He got Indian batsmen out with off spin and that takes some doing because they usually play off spin with their eyes closed ......as in bloody with contempt

He got whacked a few times but as someone else said he kept tossing it up with flight

He's learning

Well dome Lyon.....

Roooooooarrrrrrrr! :-)

He's bowled well historically when he tosses it.

Ive said it before and ill say it again: When he first came into the team he gave the ball air and got a lot of wickets. He then proceeded to bowl flat darts and bowled ****.

Kudos for the Indians for bowling around the wicket to help with the footmarks.

Kudos to the Indians for not playing an off spinner.
