Start a hall of (sh)Fame for ISG shots. Koiom gets a run for 10th at Curlewis - but he did par it!

there is a thread....

I broke my cherry at Emerald so it was the first notable event and the first ISGer I met was Zenstb, all down hill from there but they are great days with great guys. My first group was Oz, S.S. and Wasabipea. Special.

A few of the highlights from my time turning up to these things...

The BBQ after the Eynesbury game

SS's shank on the 19th at Eagle Ridge

Bernie and I hanging shyte on Stink at the Frog, circa 2011

The whole day at Scumshine with Smergs, Tippy and Bomberclark (where is that masked man?)

SS's shank on the 19th at Eagle Ridge

YGHIs 2 tee shots on the 12th at Heritage...one almost to the island...and the other one getting there...

Bman's first tee shot at Heidelberg...oh...wow :D

SS's shank on the 19th at Eagle Ridge

Golftime telling me all day at Hidden Valley how he was going to make me his b.itch...he didn't

Shrek trying to kill me with a shanked wedge at Sanctuary Lakes...straight into the golf cart...didn't flinch..

Gaz trying to kill Benny the same way on the 18th at Keysie...hit his golf bag...

Team Frank at Heidelberg...utterly useless

SS's shank on the 19th at Eagle Ridge

My NAGA winning ineptitude at Patto...highlighted by driving a ball into Hawkers' golf bag and having it bounce back towards us..and then almost killing JRG and Onegrab with a toss of the 3W over my shoulder

Watching Stink put on a clinic at Waterford Valley and Sunshine

Giving Tubbo a sympathy fist pump for a par at WV after Stink and I both birdied the hole from further away than him

And did I mention SS's shank on the 19th at Eagle Ridge?

We are kindred spirits...

Bring back the Golden Stubbie!

Edit* Bring back the Golden Stubby x 2

Was tidying the shed last night and came across two Golden Stubbies (I made a few as spares).

The reason it has stepped into the shadows is due to the nature of the challenges (which were intended to "fun" exercises to fill in time while the committee sorted out the cards) didn't quite fit in with the courses we now attend. Also people seem pretty comfortable with catching up for beers and burgers afterwards...

But some of the challenges included:

  • 19th hole NTP at Eagle Ridge - Benny
  • Driver Putting at Waterford Valley - Bernie?
  • NTP pitch at Patto - BMan?
  • Wedge of awesomeness at Curlewis - Frank?

I'm thinking that perhaps the Golden Stubby could perhaps be "inherited" by the ISG winners of the Royal Melbourne Day given that there is a fair bunch of us that attend. To be presented at OOM5 if suitable... Thoughts?

Beforehand doesn't work... The Committee have a hard enough time getting people to sign in and get to the tees than run another comp then.

Some of the newer forum members may be interested in where our OOMs originated.
It all started at Emerald one fine day when we had a gathering of ISG golfers. Around 16 from memory.
Over a few post round ales, it was decided to have another such day and Settlers Run was chosen. Further discussion ensued at Settlers, strangely enough over a few more ales, and OOM was born.

Gee OB, uuhhhh humm , the punters might like to know who exactly WON that day ,
