Small talk from the woollies check out chicks when I am on my phone. :)

They don't talk much. It takes all their mental acuity to process the goods.

They stop scanning the groceries, smile and take a deep breath then ask you a question and give you 7 seconds to formulate your answer and go back to scanning. They are taught this at checkout school.

Golfers that stand on the first tee chatting to their mates when other groups are waiting to follow.
Intended to break 90 this year, not going well.

Concentrating just getting round the course

Faark me people texting on their phones while driving DRIVES me NUTS! Bad enough I had to drive out to Dalby today, yes that pished me off what a shiithole, but then heading back into Brissy during rush hour thought I'd take a shortcut up through Ashgrove - only to be held up by some p-plate punk texting all the way. I missed multiple sets of lights because he was slow off the mark, head down furiously tapping away.

What is happening to society - can't we tear ourselves away from our phones/facebook for 20 mins? Even on the golf course it's getting out of hand. I play golf to switch off from all that craap it's my five hours break from the modern world and it is bliss.

I'm glad I got to live the first 30 years of my life when the damn things weren't such a necessity.

*yet to be disclaimer...the above was not done on a mobile whilst in a car.

My whine of the week.

People who don't know how to use a roundabout. I live in a regional city (35,000+ pop.) with no traffic lights but plenty of roundabouts.

When I'm President of the United States of Australia, anyone who doesn't know the roundabout basics will be taken out the back and shot.

Used car sales people!

Sign contract last Wednesday. Told it will take two days to complete Road Worthy Certificate.

Call last Friday. Sorry, could not get RACV to look at your car until today and wont be able to start the mechanical repairs until Monday.

Called Monday lunchtime to check car is at mechanic, not yet, will be this afternoon.  *** 3 day cooling off period has expired now***

Email Wednesday, update? Waiting on tires, lights etc.

Friday? call into shop.  Still waiting on mirror and tail light. Plus will need a detail. When parts arrive needs 4 hours work!  Last count it is now 9 days...

Don't really want to go down that path. Got the car I wanted and at a good price. It is just frustrating to have to be continuously waiting.

They have to deliver the car within 14 days or I can walk away and get my deposit back.
