Faark me people texting on their phones while driving DRIVES me NUTS! Bad enough I had to drive out to Dalby today, yes that pished me off what a shiithole, but then heading back into Brissy during rush hour thought I'd take a shortcut up through Ashgrove - only to be held up by some p-plate punk texting all the way. I missed multiple sets of lights because he was slow off the mark, head down furiously tapping away.

What is happening to society - can't we tear ourselves away from our phones/facebook for 20 mins? Even on the golf course it's getting out of hand. I play golf to switch off from all that craap it's my five hours break from the modern world and it is bliss.

I'm glad I got to live the first 30 years of my life when the damn things weren't such a necessity.

Sounds like the grumpy old man thread Winksie, it is funny though watching people walk into things and other people at the shops cause they are fixated on the little screen.

I do lots of miles on country toads, just love seeing truckies driving B-doubles with a phone in the ear driving highway speed.

You can actually tell if someone in front is texting, they are all over the road like a drunk driver, very dangerous.

I personally turn my phones to flight mode so they don't ring, nothing possibly could be important enough to wait Afew hours.

We were in Melbourne and the wife spotted a kid about 4 or 5 playing on the phone but hanging onto dad's coat with one hand and they just kept walking and the kid did not lift her head.
I detest those w@nkers who try to order their double shot decaf soy latte and a double choc cupcake while they are chatting on the phone to some dude they saw 5 minutes ago.

Are they easier to drive on than city toads?

Cooking dinner tonight with tv on in the background... Listening to sports news with some surfing commentary.... 'Snaps it off the top'... 'Another floater'... sounds like my efforts after a big night on the bourbons.
