Good question. I guess history is already against him so it would need to be within two years. Let's say by end of 2015 to give the thread miners something to do.

I hope it's not for a while yet so Adam Scott can enjoy the spoils for a bit.

There are a few others vying for #1 as well so Adam will still have to perform well to keep the spot.

Adam may need to play more.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Its like winning a tournanent because leading player takes a 12 on last hole par 4. When he has a 8 shot lead loses by 1

i doubt Tiger will assume number 1 any time soon. He won 5 times last year and that is lot of points to defend.

Cool. There's a market then. What odds are you offering?

I am not in the bookmaking business, I am sure the bookies will offer you far shorter odds than what is actually warranted because it is Woods.

He is  injury prone and at 38 years old is past his best.

I think McIlroy is more likely to be number 1 than Woods.

I concur. The way OWGR works I doubt Tiger will ever be #1 again. He will still win plenty more I imagine and maybe another major or two but on a limited schedule and having got to the top on the basis of a hot 12 months (of which the points are rapidly decaying) I'd have to bet against him regaining the top spot.

If I knew anything about the ranking system I no doubt would agree. But I don't. So I'll just be stupid about it. Just over 19 months to go............
