My routine for Augusta Gippsland is finely tuned.
Right down to the appropriate McCafe stops. Due to the travel time there are 2 refuelling stops. One in Cranbourne for the toastie and wake up Latte. Then the one close to the course for Caffiene to steady the hands like an Olympic shooter. I am a gun putter after all.
Putting practice is mandatory to get the pace right. Missing putts is a given, but if the pace is right I'll be left with a straight uphill putt.
The grinder makes mention of the bunkers. They are a hazard and I will not be visiting any. Find them hard at Langy as most are very shallow so very hard mentally to commit to the shot.
My scouts tell me the Grinder put in a good game at Northern but who knows, he may have peaked too early. From match play I know that he's a front runner. If he gets behind on the back 9 the self talk quietens and self doubt kicks in.
I just have to be square or in front at the turn to put the pressure on the free wheeler.
An excellent 4 bottle lunch has me pickled perfectly for tomorrow.
After Cranbourne where did you expect to find a McCafe "close to the course"? There is nothing close to the course except farmland.
Even Lang Lang township 10Km away doesn't have a Maccas.
No report yet of the day's results, so perhaps Mouldy is still searching for that elusive Maccas?
