use guise, smash it as hard as you can Placegetter, works for me.

Cheers mate. Took your advice. Kept running out of room at the track I played today (Tolmij is a wolf, don't play him for money). I did send a couple right though from the bigger swing. I'll need to reign that in. Loved the extra distance though. Looking forward to my next hit.

Well. You see. Um. There are more trees than I remember. Is hitting out from behind a tree to the fairway considered course management?

Absolutely, it's the strategy I always use, lulls the opposition into a false sense of security.
Intended to break 90 this year, not going well.

Concentrating just getting round the course

Is elite ball striking all about the quality of the shot OR the quantity of shots played ??? I have reached elitist stage if its the latter

I don't remember anyone playing through Tolmij. Did I miss something?

My favourite shot was the flop shot over the lake off one leg.

I definitely expected a level of quality to be considered in the equation. Though your point is well made.

I'll say again ITurf, you've got the Caboolture Golf Course in wonderful condition. Your team are very hard working and were polite on course. Definitely and enjoyable experience.

One question, the 13th couldn't be 444m could it? Driver 8 iron to back of green. We may need to pull the range finder on that one.

Best threadjack of all time this one :)

Thanks Placey.i love my vocation and putting it into practice for when royalty may drop by.

Back on topic, 444m is a driver 8 iron if quality elite ball striking is delivered to the back of the ball. Will check and verify distance though and informally inform you. :)

It must have been when you were looking for your ball after the 400 m drive ;)

The 8 iron was from 160m out with a following breeze. Very elite ball strike.

Don't worry everyone. I've reported this post to the moderators. We all know, and I'm surprised Tolmij hasn't worked this out, that there is absolutely no place for facts on this forum. Fancy thinking that telling everyone the 160m for an 8i was wind assisted would be okay. Any
regular worth his salt knows the shot was in fact uphill from a divot into a 40kph wind with a crocodile closing in fast. Some people never learn........
