Well I ventured down to Woodlands today for our second round of the clubbies. (Not in contention as I will be in NSW when the final round is at Cranbourne, on Monday. - Pity as I love Cranbourne GC)
....anyway....perfect conditions and a stroke round off the white plates... and counting putts. My 9.0 GA adjusted to 10 for the comp and as it was a shotgun start my group was sent a fair way from the clubhouse to start on 12.
No swing of the club and just a few putts saw bit of a chop fest and double to start.
FIR & GIR on 13 but then 3 putted after leaving it short and thinking I was putting on glass.
FIR & GIR on 14 and then another 3 putt.
15th - Par 5 down wind.......FIR & GIR and one putt for birdie
16th - FIR but bogied it after leaving another putt short
19th - GIR and 2 putt par
18th - FIR & GIR...2 putt par
Front 9 - 42 OTS and another birdie on 4 16 putts
10th - GIR and 2 putt par
111th - Front bunker and skinnied shot through the back.....Managed to get up and down for bogie (Very happy with that)
Back 9 - 41 OTS and 18 putts
I was happy with 9 GIR but 6 FIR was pretty poor. 7 pars or better is promising also.
