Members are advised that the Annual General
Meeting previously notified and scheduled for
7.30pm on Thursday 25th May 2017 is postponed
until further notice.
The Board is currently in ongoing discussions with
the Landlord with respect to the financial position
of the Club and expects to be able to call a
meeting and make an announcement to Members
within the next few weeks.
This has become necessary as a result of our cash
flow position becoming impacted by the greater
than expected reduction in Membership
subscription renewals. Despite an uptake of 59
new members so far in 2017, we have realised an
overall net loss of 128 Members at the renewal
deadline of 28th April 2017.
In addition, the number of Members who have
decided to go to a lower paying category or have
elected to pay their annual subscription by
monthly payments has increased substantially
leading to further immediate financial pressure.
We would request that Members allow this activity
to progress over the coming weeks before drawing
any conclusions or creating rumours within or
external to our Club.
