Six months ago peed down with rain at range closing time so they left the balls to be collected next morning, all nicked overnight.
Intended to break 90 this year, not going well.

Concentrating just getting round the course

When I played at Sanctuary Cove - Pines a while back they had shiny white Q-Stars as range balls, giddyup.

All of them, don't hit far enough for it to affect my score. :)

I was too amused watching the roos on the driving range. They don't give a s**t about golf balls landing right next to them or even hitting them. I saw one just laying there and a ball thudded into its side and it hardly even flinched. There would have been 20+ kangaroos spread out across the range with about the same number of people hitting.

Doesn't surprise me after the stories I've heard from country drivers. Little buggers get clipped by a car going 80km/h...get up and hop away. A few golf balls wouldn't trouble them!

Our local range has the occasional gem thrown in the bucket, assuming they're just the balls found out on the course. Funnily enough I strike the range balls better...

The roo I hit a while back didn't hop away. Its tail flipped around and left a Qantas logo indent up the side of the car.

I'm just pissed off OK? Don't ask.

I hit range balls really well compared with proper balls on the course...

Then maybe should hit Pro V's at range and the yellow range balls on the course.

Just dug up this old thread 'researching' my old knowledge re: range balls.

The facility I used today @ Royal Chinderah uses the Srixon range balls. I vaguely recall they compress about 15% less than a standard ball.

I found this: http://www.ngcoa.org..._comparison.PDFand this:

"The Srixon range balls were actually the worst in terms of distance loss (up to 15%) and variability in ball flight."
