Opening this thread up again. Next year will be some social golf most Friday arvos. Even if it’s only 9 holes or some range.
It’s not a lot but the best I can do.
2017 has been hard work. Moved out of house. 6 months of builders and tradies to repair it. Moved back. Had to work hard at the business. Kids. Business hastles. Family holidays.
2018 is going to be very different. First year I have been honestly optimistic going into a new year for many years.
The Tophmeister is back.
Warming up for nationals. Which I might not make as may be in LA on conference.
New Sun Mountain bag for Xmas picked by me.
May even make some SEQ games.

But first some Japanese powder!

No big cap aims this year cos probably won’t play much Comp golf. So unlike me. But just aim to play a bit and see some improvement.
Also planning on getting Mrs Toph playing. If she comes to an SEQ game ever she will put everyone off their game so much I will win by 5 shots guaranteed. 😋

If Mrs Toph attends an SEQ game we might get 4 groups mate, can't have that. Also I mainly posted here to keep your thread going, I've set a reminder to post every 6 months or so. Which will be more often than you.

Played golf today. Royal Pines. Very social. Didn’t keep score. Had a few bourbons. Hit some cracking approach shots and some great drives. Putting was woeful.
Nice to be back. I needed that.

Thanks Weets. I’ve been thinking about it. I can’t really afford the 6 hours it takes up on a Sunday when it’s up on Brisbane so would have to be a GC game. HC has lapsed - again, but mainly been feeling so very rusty and unsure of my game.
I’m having a lesson on Tuesday to find out what to practice and am trying to get back to a bit of range time and social golf Friday arvo first up.
Yesterday was fun and some of the approach’s were pin high on the green and as good as I can hit em. Felt good and reminded me why I love this game. Was with 3 really good guys so lots of drinks and banter too.
My God the putting was woeful though!
Mrs Toph has had a weekly beginner group lesson too. Don’t think the bug has really bitten but she’s kept going so who knows. Maybe.

In news tonight - Toph has a lesson from his GC swing guru on Tuesday. Was going to be last Tuesday but was rained off. Guru has moved and now no indoor area.
Likely to be be rained off this Tuesday too.
In true Bump fashion have already decided on out fit. Will allow me to continue on to work with only changing shirt and shoes in the car.
Want to know what to work on as I return to the fold.
