So. Zero golf. Not a sausage.
But.
Quite happy with other aspects. Diet major changes, and things I can easily/want to continue long term. Have lost 4kg-5kg. Lipids now normal range and no longer pre diabetic. Liver function normal.
Starting some home gym sessions more nights than not. Muscles defining. Feeling good.
Now looking at July rather than March to have a bit more time for golf. Good things come to those that wait. When I get there I'll be leaner fitter stronger and more supple

Did you cut your arm off...I would have thought you needed to gain mass and muscle.

Nice work Toph!!! Sounding good!!

Can I ask what the major diet changes were? I am trying to lose weight as well and have changed eating habits and walking about 5km every day during the week plus golf and only fluctuating 1 or 2 kgs up and down.

So would be interested to hear what your changes were. I am thinking I am still not burning enough energy for my body to use the fat stores yet. Gym is the next step but between work and home with bub 1 and then 2 on the way this will be no chance.

I get abdominal fat. To the extent that I have fatty liver. Don't look too overweight but a big potential medical problem brewing.

I have made the following changes to my diet over time. This is not a diet it's a long term/ rest of life thing. Short term diets don't work.
1. Virtually eliminated sugar and hidden sugar in food.
2. Greatly reduced alcohol and substituted wine for beer
3. Greatly reduced refined carbs. Bread pasta rice.
4. Almost stopped unhealthy snacks in the evening.
5. Fresh fruit ok but no dried fruit.

Breakfast. Whole grain toast. Avo. Half fried tomato. Baby spinach. Egg if it's a big day.
Lunch. I make up quite a good size salad. Not much meat or cheese and only balsamic for dressing. Sushi if I'm on the run but I try not to.
Snacks. Nuts pepitos fruit. Etc
Dinner. Whatever the family are eating. Hopefully lean meat or fish and veggies.

If you haven't seen them watch that sugar film. Also forks over knives. The message is pretty clear.

Oh and drink LOTS of water. It really makes a difference to weight loss I find.

Yeah its a long term thing for me as well. I am trying to knock it down just to be healthier for when kids are old enough to start playing etc. For the mean time fitness is well up and finding golf and the walk easy.

Although I knew it wouldn't be short term, i expected at least 1 to 3 kgs solid off and not fluctuating. I guess mine will be longer term than I thought.

Overall though enjoying the activeness and feeling better! That's the main point!! :)

Took the youngest to sailing. Had a couple hours so decided to go to a range. Went to Parkwood. No range. It's now a rugby pitch for Titans training. But they do have a bank of indoor simulators.
So.... played Pebble Beach.
86 but over a dozen mulligans. Was replaying shots for fun. Enjoyed it a lot. My sort of golf. 60 mins to play about 22 holes. No queues or hold ups. Will go again and try to better the score.

Star date 22 July 2017 snuck away from school athletics carnival yesterday for a quick bucket. First hit for.....months apart from a few wiffle balls in the back yard. Hit them surprisingly well. Quite a few pushed a little right probably mainly an alignment issue but generally pretty good contact.
