One things for sure is you'll always know how Jason Day is going because every sports report starts with, for example "Aussie Jason Day is 4 strokes off the pace at the Honda Classic with a 4 under 67...." and that's it.

You might get a "American Justin Thomas leads at 8 under..." if you're lucky.

Personally I'd like to know who's winning I could care where Aussie Jason Day is - I hate our news.

Same for Aussie Daniel Riccardo, Aussie Sam Stosur and Aussie Tim Cahill.

Yep. He had the perfect opportunity to win another major today at Bellerive - close to the lead, benign conditions, soft greens, friendly pins - but couldn't get it done. I would love to proven wrong, but I very much doubt he'll win another major.

Yup hate Aussie news for that. Every news item has to have some sort of Aussie angle/connection for it to be viewed as relevant.

Whats worse though is that every Golf article over the next week will be dominated by Tiger and his close run. I'm by no means a Tiger fan but would have been happy enough if he'd won but I can't stand the furore about it and especially couldn't stand watching the galleries around Tiger. Bunch of yobbos.

I don’t understand ...... 30 years ago we had minimal representation in world
Golf, now we have more chances than ever to win Majors and Opens, up here all we get is the Qlder tagged angle over the Australian one, which I feel is unecessary.
Glad the sports report gives us a snapshot of the tournament, benefits those that love the game, but don’t have pay tv.
