They were advertising them as a small brewery at some point.   Clearly they are growing (or taken over??)

I think that's part of the sell, trying to crack the craft beer market. That's the reason they called it Furphy despite the Furphy family not coming from Geelong.

Little Creatures owns and created Furphy, Lion owns LC and Kirin owns them.

It's gone gang-buster since October last year, Commish.   There's tonnes of it at Uncle Dan's and on tap at most pubs/clubs.   How much are they charging?

$10 for a pint - only had 1

On special for $52 but also part of the Woolies shopper docket beer discount so you can get it for $48.  Funny part was that Brad picked it up for me the other week at Cosco as well.

It's owned by Kirin, the 3rd biggest beer company in the world, of course it's spreading

Bottle says it was born at the Little Creatures Brewery at Geelong Vic.  But you may be right because Kirin is the other beer on discounted offer with the Woolies Shopper docket.  Kirin is also a fave when I'm in the mood for a crispier style ale.  (Oops, I see you have explained that at the top of the page. That'll teach me for not reading the lot before I posted.. :(

Who am I kidding, I'll drink just about anything.... just prefer some over others.  Have had a bit of a love affair of late with the John Boston Session Ale and the James Squire Hop Thief.  But know that Furphy is in town things will change.  Or I may have to just drink more.... if that is possible.

The mass market beer taking over Melbourne is Great Northern mid-strength.

A round of golf, 4 shouts of mid/strength and you’re just under .05.

Easily the biggest volume beer at Keysie.

The local pisspot racing pub the Royal Oak is advertising $6 pints and they pour more beers than all the pubs in a 6km+ radius.
