Only Richmond can give the top of the table team and premiership favourites a right royal rogering to the tune of 41 points and still drop a spot on the ladder.

The fact that the team that finishes 9th this season will play finals, is just more evidence of the universe having a laff at Richmond supporters expense.

This is what it means to be Richmond. :(

Suffer in your jocks Lefty... :D

Hawthorn lost and went from 1st to... that's right... 1st.

In all seriousness, I'm super excited for Tigers fans...  I remember how excited I was when the Hawks got back into the finals in 2007, and then beat Adelaide in the best game I've ever been to.

Finals is what footy is about. The excitement, the build up... the stress whilst you are there. It's just frikken' awesome. It's like normal footy on speed.

So all the best for the Tigers, just don't knock the Hawks out please.

all this talk reminds me of the time I was in Melbourne for a weekend in 2003, it was towards the end of September it was from memory.

Best.Weekend.Ever!

my post has nothing to do with Richmond, though I did see Sam Mitchell in the parade, he was at the front, only a kid back then.

Finals footy is good footy

Ive been to 2 finals series in my life... all 3 finals in 95 and 2 finals in 01. Criminal, that in this day and age of afl equalisation, a club makes 2 finals series since 82 *facepalm*

In 1995 I was a teenager and full of bravado, "we're back" I thought and expected a dynasty :D

In 2001 I still thought we were a bit of alright and harboured dreams of some sustained finals footy..... so many 9th finishes.... just unlucky I thought.. .

Im now well into my 30's and have finally learnt my lesson, this finals series is going to be one big piss up and party, too many years could go by before seeing another(going by our history)  so Im going to make the most of it and enjoy every minute of it.

Don't think there will be much paint left on the change room walls once Dimma's finished addressing the players.

I have been to 4 grand finals... 1977, 1980, 1981, and 1990

Yes, I was there when Richmond last won a flag... I remember she crap I got from Richmond supporters back in the day... Of course now, Richmond's premiership drought is longer than Collingwood's was...

Is it just me who thinks this is all going to end in tears?

The thing with Richmond supporters is that ............ they are all bloody Bipolar, I reckon.

One day its a truckload of "namure" being spilled on the clubhouse steps, and the next day it's dancing in the streets.

Time to load up on your medication I reckon, just in case there is a big let down coming in the next month or so.
