I grew up and finished high school there. Though did not have the luxury of playing golf till couple of years ago, many of my mates are regular golfers in VN and I go back every year to play with them.
IMHO, Vietnam is the best country to play golf ( if you know the people and have the connections, golf can be very cheap, even free
You guys should play in the north, completely different type of courses and green, you will Love it.

Heading there again soon for about 3 weeks: Saigon, Hanoi, Hue and Hoi An.
In between sinking beers and stuffing amazing food into my face, I'm going to play Danang again and also hack my way round Laguna for the first time.

Ba Na Hills is a lot of fun. I played it and Monty (GM from Kilmore of all places!), and both were good fun.
Monty I walked but Ba Na is hilly as hell which made for some fun and interesting holes. Believe Luke Donald had something to do with it. About $140 BH and $160 Monty. All up about the same as it is about 40 min cab ride to BH.
