Always use a debit card, scrap the credit card and pay all bills on line. The Annual fees plus the shop fee for using a credit card will cost more than any savings through a point scheme.

If you think you will come out on top with these credits you are living in La La land, banks will never give you any scheme where you will be the winner.

Best thing we ever did was ditch the credit card, only spend the cash you have, be frugal, join a cheaper golf club, cut down on wine, don't go on trips to Tasmania with a group of pi$$ heads and all will be good.

Your welcome.

Oops You are welcome

sage advice there Tol, especially about joining a cheaper golf club. This is especially prudent if someone else does all the running around with the applications for you.

I don't drink wine though so I will look for something else to cut back on.

I've decided I don't need a credit card at all ...that's it

It's a discipline thing also

I'm grumpier without it ....I save on wine.

I play at a shittier golf course without it, I can't go to Tassie with piss heads also.

Not having one doesn't negatively impact me, I enjoy being a lonely old fart so why would I need one?

It's odd ...it's weird ...tick all those boxes but it works for me

Do city credit cards earn more points than country credit cards?

Or do country credit cards just have a lower interest rate?
