TEACHERS in Sweden have banned children from dressing up as gingerbread men - because people might find the brown characters "offensive". Doesnt get more serious than this- what are your thoughts? Should this be an international rule?:)

Absolutely, it does not get any more offensive than a gingerbread costume.

Finally common sense prevails, I have been deeply offended that snowmen are white for many years now.

They should also be gender neutral, therefore the term should be Gingerbread Person and of course they should be coffee coloured as in - "What we need is a great big melting pot Big enough to take the world and all it's got And keep it churning for a 100 years or more And turn out coffee coloured people by the score' And while we're at it let's get rid of talk back radio hosts and DJs and radio station executives, stuff it - let's just close down all radio stations (except the ones that only play music) and the Royal family who started all this trouble and Ewan Porter's tweets and Ewan Porter's critics and let's ban his book too. Now that we're warmed up we may as well get rid of Quade Cooper and Robbie Deans along with belly putters and nativity scenes and Christmas carols. I'm going for a little rest now, Merry Xmas everyone.

Why is it gingerbread person? Where is the bread? Shouldn't it be a gingerbiscuit person? Or would that offend the cookie brigade too much.

Gingerbread can be offensive - if there's too much ginger in it. Kids dressed up in costumes are never offensive in appearance. However, some brats can act offensively.
