Well done to Cowan for getting his maiden Test century. Clarke closing in on another 200 score and Hussey is 58 not out. The Gabba sounds like a road, Aussies are scoring faster than SAF were. Last 10 over the run rate is close to 5. Pity we lost day 2 to rain, this could have been a cracking finish. Not sure how anyone is going to get another 10 wickets though if the pitch is that good to bat on.

Cracking Test, shame there is a time limit on it.

Australia’s bowling attack, terrible eh?

RSA 450 runs in 151 overs Aust 4/four hundred and fifty plus in 121 overs Either we have better batsmen or they have a terrible bowling attack

Or it is a bit of a road and we bowled slightly better and were fortunate enough to only have to deal with 10 SA batsmen.

For mine, a sensational day of cricket was ruined by technology. Constant no balls, snickometers and hotspots just spoilt the day, just leave it to the refs maybe ? I don't know, was always against unfair dismissals, but it seems to have gone too far. Cowan and Pattinson appear to be great finds, heaps of mongrel, put Lyons out to pasture somewhere.

How were the no balls the fault of technology? Or do you mean them checking the no balls? Agree Lyon was terrible, bowling on a pitch that was a spinners paradise and getting 3 top order wickets. Shocking stuff.

If you land 100mm behind the line on a regular basis there is no problem regardless of how pumped up you might be. I think it is either very unprofessional or the bowlers are intellectually challenged. Do I sniff a bit of sarcasm Yossarian ? Lyons first 2 overs in the 2nd innings showed how the SAF rate him. He is a dud and cannot apply any pressure. Clarke apparently agrees as he didn't bother to throw him the ball until the game was gone.

Do you rate Swann as an off spin bowler? Did you see what SA did to him in the series just gone?
