Geez you do hit a lot of greens Rob.
That's a good sign, unfortunately it doesn't help if you putt like Mouldy

I did hit a few today.

I just struggled with distance control on the longer putts.
Not sure if left hand low is the right one for me.

May go conventional for everything over 6 of feet. From there LHL is deadly.

How is the condition of GR....playing Sunday, wasn't sure if I'd need my gumboots or not.

After all the rain last night i was thinking the worst.
Was surprisingly good today.

A few wet spots, but the back 9 is very dry.

Bisque par tomorrow sounds like a bandits paradise

Agree Bumpy.

Warra often has "par plus" where double or triple pluses are scored.  Of course they are handicapped on their real score.

Personally, I'm far more likely to get a minus than something more than a plus.

I've never had one.  But if you get two shots on a hole and birdie it, you've got +++

So last night had a late call up for a round at Kingswood.
As is getting shut soon, i was stoked to get the opportunity.

Absolutely love the place. Oh so good.
One of the best par 5's ive ever played, and the par 3's are incredible.

Played quite ordinary. After golf yesterday, my wrists were pretty sore and it showed on the front 9.

Started on the back 9, with 6 straight wipes, then a half, then 2 more minuses to be 8 down.

The front 9 is a very good layout, i had 2 cans, and played much better. Had -2 with a birdie on the short par 3 6th.

The greens were possibly the best surfaces i have played on in a real long time.
Very hilly, very quick. They were doing my head in!!

Started to get the hang of them, but it was way to late.

53!/45 for 98!!!
7/14 FIR
3 GIR.
21/17 for 38 stinking putts.
2 penalties.

Another flag dropping off today, so i think im in trouble

GR was in great nick....so much better than the same time last year!! Either the weather has helped immensely or they have worked hard on drainage etc.

Bisque Par was awesome, good fun strategy including the "in-group" match we had going. Played well, was conservative with my shots on the front 9 (the back 9) and stormed home for +9. Bandits paradise or just good golf? Winner was +11 off 12

Nicely done.

They dumped a huge amount of sand on all the fairways early this year.
It sank in nicely, almost like a full sand capping

But they have done a fantastic job

I feel your pain Rob. Been on a slide for 18 months and it's been a grind. Getting out to 13 from a bear of 8.7 felt like complete failure.

But I'm hopeful it's beginning to turn around- and you will too.

Enjoy the rest of the game in the meantime - even if you can't enjoy the score!

The pin was at the back yesterday, so assume it wasn't moved over night.....not sure how a hole in one is possible. Took a massive bounce off two sprinkler heads?
