So, i had a message or 40 wirh our (i think) resident low marker, Scratch 64 about my putting shenanigans.

Now his putting was worse than Moukdys and mine put together when he was of 6.

But he has jumped 3 odd shots in a remarkably small amount of time, to be of 3

He is going for the left hand low method.

I'm gunna give it a rip tomorrow.

Anyone else used it even half successfully?

Monthly medal stableford today.

Blew it's ringer out.

Im shite at golf again.

Crap of the tee. Irons were reasonable. Around the green was pretty solid, but my 50m odd shots were really really bad.

Left hand low seemed to work pretty well. Missed one sorry one, mainly due to a miss read than anything else. Distance control with it was pretty bloody good.

Will be staying with it for a while i reckon.

26 points of rubbish. First monthly medal in a million years and i royally butchered it.

My handicap may even drift out more if that's actually possible.

Started to take my usual stats, but gave it up after 13 holes.

2 advantages of left hand low

1  takes wrist action out of stroke ,and help keep putter face on line.

2. The lack of wrist action also makes it harder to throw your putter in the water if miss a putt.

Putter also didn't wander around on the back stroke. Was very stable

It has been surprisingly good.

The top of 8 is a bit damp for about 90m from the tee. Right side of 9 the same.

If the ball is in play, it's fine. Rough can be fairly wet.

Bunkers are brilliant.

Greens are the biggest surprise for me. Still soft, but getting quicker

Scored better than i played.

Par again today. Finished -1,

Driver behaved itself pretty well today, apart from one huge pull hook on 8 that ended up in the middle of the 9th fairway.

Putting wasnt great at all. Distance control was almost non existent, most were very sorry.

Short game had totally deserted me n the last 2 or 3 weeks. It was very solid for a long time, now, from 50 in, I'm not even sure i can hit the green..

Bunker play was ok, except when plugged (twice). 1 holed bunker shot.

45/43 88 of the bat.
8 FIR. Most of the misses were just of fairway.
7 GIR.
19/16 putts. And a 4 jab

So 0/-1

Irons were pretty good.

I have a 36 point flag dropping off today, so i will probly drift out again

Geez you do hit a lot of greens Rob.
That's a good sign, unfortunately it doesn't help if you putt like Mouldy
