Had a blast. It's the second vic open pro am I've played in and twice the guys we've had have been great value.

Was sensational playing with adam and seeing his game up close. Think he was five under through the first six with us which included an eagle on the first. He hits a beautiful ball so it was no shock to see he finished T2.

The VicOpen itself is a marvellous event. Anyone who can get there next year should do so. I went on the thursday morning and it's nuts how close you can get to the players. Basically stood a couple of ms away from Minjee, Allenby and co.

Playing Commonwealth on saturday, Portsea 4ball on Monday then Portarlington Pro Am this time next week. So much golf to come!!!!

Yeah I went down for walk on Thursday, followed Carly Booth in the morning and Nitties, Hall and Minjees young brother wow that kid can play!

Do you ever get any work in? Pro ams are usually pretty cool to get involved in, last one I played was a few years ago with Craig Parry hanging around one of the Par 3's for a photo op, and playing a shot. I think it was at Royal Melbourne? Been that long I can't really recall. Was great fun though.

Played Commonwealth today. Got the full experience with plenty of bunkers. Finished the par Comp with -5, so happy at that with it being my first look at the course.
Lovely track, some really nice holes. Club house great and I found the members friendly.

On an even better note, my GA is now into 20.1, so I've lost 10 shots in the past 18 months. Would love to be able to do that again in the next 18!!

I kind of feel my best is good enough to consistently break 90, I just keep letting myself down. I think that's a realistic goal for the next 18 months!

I play the pro am at my club every second year or so and while it is more filled with journeyman golfers than some of the big events, it is still pretty great value for a day out (particularly if you can spin it as marketing)

Even journeyman golfers pull shots off that we can only dream of. Was awesome just watching them punt the pill around.

I'm sure there is plenty to update you all on. Played in State 4 ball final. Finished about mid field. Second day was called off halfway through to extreme rain. The Nationl copped a barrage of rain and it become unplayable. Our cart took on so much water that it stopped working. Hands were that wet and wrinkled it was impossible to unlock the phone and call for help. Was still great fun though!!

But most importantly, had 34 points yesterday and that was enough to see my handicap come in to 19.9. Officially a golfer with a handicap under 20!
Been a long road with a few false starts to get there, but I'm confident I can get lower. I feel I'm swinging it as good as ever and I'm now starting to get a better understanding the shots required in certain circumstances,

Yesterday's round of 34 had three pickups and one 1 pointer, so there is certainly some improvement still in me
