Would have been a good effort from Muzz to get there given he played at northern in the morning.

As a professional (paid in beer and South Melbourne Market dim sims) caddy I know how to get Ghetto going.

Don't say anything positive. He thrives on fear and crumbles on praise.

Basically, a submissive.

Played Par at Southern yesterday with Muzz, Mouldy and Muzz's mate Andrew.  Cold morning and I arrived immediately after a sunshower and greeted with blue skies.

Started the day with a birdie on the 10th Hole at Southern - minted a 4 hy from 175m out to about 6 foot, was suitably chuffed and quite impressed with myself.

Summarily followed up on the 11th (which I dont get a shot) and duck hooked my drive onto the next fairway, ball never to be found again.

Sounds exactly like my round yesterday at Southern......3 for 4 on the 10th (our first hole) then wiped 11 from the middle of the fairway after my drive.

Had 12 points on the back even with the 4 on 10.

One of those rounds to forget.

Ouch. 8 points across 8 holes. Some days things just dont work.

Admittedly I did have Mouldy in my group which is a tough ask at the best of times.

Ha ha - My mate Jon who was at the Sandhurst OOM is looking to join and wanted to get a look-in round at Southern and compare it to Keysie.

Forecast is for 17 max with 70% chance of showers 15mm. Without Mouldy, I should expect a pleasant day for golf......

I actually quite like the place - are you booked in for this Sunday?

Very good, hopefully he enjoys it more than that country track down the road!

I'm booked in but I'm not sure if I'll play, the pennant team made the final so I might go and watch that at Sandhurst.

BOM seems to be more optimistic about the weather, so if you get Mouldy to tip rain at least you can almost guarantee a nice day.

Ok. Played well at the OOM yesterday and shot 37 points playing off 14.

21 pts on thr front (teed off the 10th first) and 16 off the back.

I thought i putted really well bar 1x 4 putt and 2 x 3 putts. Still came in with 36 putts in total.

15 putts 21 pts vs 21 putts 16 points. All thr 3 and 4 putts occurred on thr back 9 and think that it contributed significantly to a 5 point differential.

With a played to 11.2 flagging yesterday, GA dropped by .6 and is down to an all-time low of 12.5

Time to do some thinking and reassessing where and how I am going to improve on my current game.

Quite correct Goldy. Can't really put down the improvement due to any particular focus or improvement plan that I have devised.

In fact, the focus has been more about getting out for a hit with mates and the fun factor and scoring has improved. Go figure.

Started the year on 15 and slid out to 16.6 at the end of Jan and has now come back in by 4 shots.
