32 points at the Frog today. Wipes on 9 and 15..we timed our turn into the northerly very poorly...sprung up as we finished 14...of course. Pars on 5, 10, 11 and 16.

Played with Harro, Dallas and Chuppa chup Joe...man we enjoyed the day, even if the golf was a bit up and down. Harro in particular...4 pointed the 2nd, wiped the 3rd..he had 19 on the front with 2 wipes, finished on only 29 for the day, joe with 27, Dallas with a sore back.

The joy of monthly medal next Saturday, Moonah OOM on Sunday.

It’s good to be the king.

Medal Day at the Frog tomorrow. Stroke...please note to the softcokk clubs that do Stableford....

The add-ons that we get on these days are the putting comp as well as the eclectic...I still need pars on quite a few holes...4, 7-9, 11-12, 15 & 18. I'm about 3 off the lead at the moment...so a few strategically placed pars...or better...would certainly help.

Sunday OOM with the crew from here...albeit a much smaller than usual group...at Moonah Legends. Playing with McSnapperton, Mouldman and the Chip In King...my first hit with Brad.

Should be fun watching Mouldy wish he had a Scotty Cameron putter after every missed putt.

To be fair, having stableford or par for medal days during winter is a sign of a successful club. It means they generally have a full field on a Saturday and need to get everyone finished before dark. Whats the field size for the frog tomorrow?

Not many...never is. About 50-60 tops us out...medal day seems to be the most popular.

I get the difference in time between formats, and the limitation of daylight hours. I'm still surprised that clubs can't get through the round in available light.

How's the elite group out at Royal Dorset, King Mick?

Warra still had 40 vacancies for tomorrow when I checked earlier, only 170 combatants for medal. Stroke of course.

Usually booked out a week in advance, but half the club has gone north for the winter.

I'm playing at Beacy.

Well...a bit of a disaster today. But I did get to watch the trifecta...the other 3 in my group ran first, second and third...and won B, A and C grade respectively. And the guy that won B grade...got his own personal trifecta...he's won the last 3 monthly medals.

We started on 10...most unusual...and it was deadset freezing. Frost everywhere. Started slowly, double, bogey, bogey, double, par, bogey...so one down at this stage, not so bad. Then tripled 16, bogeyed 17 and doubled 18...so 4 down to handicap at the halfway mark. Not a total disaster...but then we played the first....

Great drive, 8 iron in hand...made triple. Pulled it into the greenside bunker, flew the green out of that, blah blah triple. From about 120 out. And then the rest of the day was kind of similar. About the only thing I did well most of the day was driver...even that disappeared over the last few holes.

Positives? Not many..pars on 14, 2 and 6...yes...6 again. That's twice in the last few weeks...which is probably 2 more than the whole of last year. Other than that...not a lot of good to speak of.

Suffice to say, a repeat tomorrow would result in an nice new orange addition to the wardrobe.

Break 100?

No.

Although GL shows it as 99 adjusted for stableford...had a quad on the 8th when I essentially failed to give a shite. Would be an 8 as per stableford adjustment.

I figure when it's that high, it really doesn't make much difference. It's shite.
