Had the great pleasure of hosting 3 fine gentlemen at beaconhills on a splendid monday morning. Course conditions excellent. Goldy's mate Benny got off to an absolute fly, making a mockery of his nominal 24 h'cap as he was putting the ball on a dime from anywhere on the course. GPJ longdriver was still fine tuning his new fangled distance apparatus before he blasted that bazooka into orbit ....after I consulted with someone who knew how to mark a card properly....As we turned the corner for home, Benny had GPJ, and Yours truly by the narrowest of margins. Goldy was putting away some good shots but like all good c graders, interspersed by a couple of troublesome ones. As we stood on the 10th Benny said WTF I wanna put some space between you clowns and that he did...putting on a clinic for the next three holes, collecting 9 points along the way. GPJ was getting sick of it and started going bang bang bang but for some shabby short stuff would have made a mockery of his 12 h'cap. i was like the turtle of the field..up and down, nothing flash and nothing too horrid either, home ground advantage kicked in when required Goldy played some terrific long shots with the hybrid, oh am i allowed to say that...hope thats alright...consistency off the tee held him back when the whips were cracking at the end benny played a few stray shots that opened the door for a fast finishing GPJ to take the chocolates..great day to be out in good company, welcome back anytime gents...and gaz, think about that membership...who said I was a salesman! Final Placings GPJ 37pts Wasabi 36pts Benny 35pts Goldy 26pts

Sounds like a nice day up in Beacy. Good work GPJ on winning the day. For the record (and ISG Results Page) we had a mini ISG 4BBB on Saturday at Buningyong. Smergen and HTI +1 beat HitThroughIt and OzDevil 43pts to 40pts. Smoked 'em.

OOM#5 Results:
Winner overall for the 2011 year was Pars&Birdies with a nett70 at Eagle Ridge.
CanBreak80 came in 2nd with 72
RussHasVision just beat Hawkers2008 on countback with 73
SeptemberSquall (pony boy) just a whisker behind with 74.
Kiwi & Francie both on 81
HitThroughIt with 90
Ozdevil 92

Other players on the day competed in a 4BBB stableford.
Winners (with estimated handicaps which were obviously generous) were Goldy’s +5 and DJCraig with 45,
Closely followed by HackPro and GPJ with 44,
Then Goldy and LeftyTiges with 43,
Then Koiom and OldBogey’s +2 sharing 42 with KickItHome and Golftime,
The rest of the field: Goldy’s +1 & Shaynos, RobNewy & WasabiPea, and OldBogey & his +1 were all well back.

A good day was had by all. The weather was great. The course was tight and demanding.

Congrats to all who played.

maybe the day just wasn't as good as it was built up to be, or a learning process for the committee. though I enjoy the results page, they show real form for the players and a record to look back on.

ISG OOM 2011 Dual NAGA Award.

Actually Mick, I'm sitting here drinking the NAGA wine on my lonesome loving it. I hold the NAGA momentarily with pride, ready to come back and take the crown of the 2012 OOM. If you add 2,0,1,2 together you get 5. That's a prime number, and so is 47. So I will score 47 points at the next event, it's obvious.
