Plenty of courses with great par 3's outside of the sandbelt. Some that stand out for me in no particular order are:

1. Thirteenth Beach holes 7 and 16 (12 good too but probably best collection of par 3 holes on one course)

2. The National Old Course hole 7 (all about the carry)

3. Barnbougle Dunes hole 7 (postage stamp which can be one tough small hole)

4. Barnbougle Lost Farm hole 4 (great scenery)

5. Hamilton Island hole 16 (great scenery)

6. Joondalop Quarry hole 3 (see the danger in the carry)

7. Links Kennedy Bay hole 16 (good design)

8. Royal Adelaide hole 7 (bunkering)

9. Narooma hole 3 (great scenery)

10. NSW hole 6 (only if from back tees)

11. Macquarie Links hole 11 (intimidating tee shot)

12. The Vintage hole 8 (good design)

13. The Grange East hole 15 (deceptive green)

14. Newcastle hole 7 (great end to good stretch of holes)

15. Bonville hole 17 (design based on Augusta hole 12)

Was only going to make this 10 but so many more stood out. Can't believe how many good par 3 on the Sandbelt, kept thinking of them but remembered they had to be excluded. Most of these had good design, some great. A few have hero shots to carry major obstacles (which I don't consider to be great design) but are quite memorable.

Now the 2nd.

Played there over Xmas, and one of the group nailed an Eagle there.

On the Sunshine Coast, I also enjoy Pelican Waters 6th.

I'm a member there, we move it about different tees in social rounds, if the pins back, we'll play reds with beers for ntp.

Its an interesting hole from the black tees too, especially if pins at the back.

Ok, Nick Faldo said its a great hole so it should be in the list.

Hole 13 Par 3

Tiger (Black) Tees 160m

Medal Tees 160m

Ladies Tees 119m

This is one of the toughest tee shots you will ever play. Watch out for nasty pot bunker on the right rear flank. “This is certainly one of the best par threes I have ever played” – Nick Faldo (6 majors)
